Science Experiment: Make Your Own Magic Mudd

PLACE ABOUT 1/3 cup of cornstarch in a bowl. Slowly add water, stirring with a fork. Add food coloring, if you would like. Stop when the mixture looks like soft Play-Doh.

Place some of the mixture in your hand and squeeze it. Then release the pressure and see what happens. Usually when pressure is applied to a substance, the melting point is lowered and the solid will turn to a liquid. Just the opposite happens with magic mudd!
