The new immigration law in Arizona forces police officers to stop anyone who they think might be an undocumented immigrant (someone who has no legal permission to be in the United States) and ask to see proof that they are in the country legally (see this article). Here are a few ways YOU can take action on immigration.

1. Ask your family members, neighbors and friends to talk about what is happening in Arizona.

2. Write to the governor of Arizona at azgov@az.gov to support immigrant rights.

3. Learn more about the experiences of undocumented immigrants in the United States (http://www.dreamactivist.org/about/our-stories/).

4. Help to educate your friends about the struggles of immigrants.
