S.O.P.A. is a bill in the U.S. Congress whose letters stand for “Stop Online Piracy Act.” It aims to prevent people from giving away copyrighted material for free on some websites. Some call these activities “trafficking” and the material “pirated.” People who oppose the bill believe it will shut down many websites such as YouTube, Facebook and Wikipedia, where people freely upload and transfer videos, data and songs. They argue that “the Internet must remain free!”
